About LHS: The Lakeside Heritage Society is a non-profit Ohio corporation dedicated to preserving the rich history of Lakeside, Ohio, one of the last remaining Chautauqua-type cultural and spiritual enrichment institutions in the world. The Society operates the Heritage Hall Museum (shown above), located in the original Lakeside Methodist Church building at 238 Maple Avenue, and the Lakeside Heritage Archives, located directly behind Heritage Hall in the cottage at 324 West Third Street.
Operating Hours: During the summer season (June, July and August), Heritage Hall is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, and Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission is free, although donations are welcomed. Summer Lecture Series: Throughout the summer, the Lakeside Heritage Society presents lectures from area historians each Sunday at 2:00pm in Lakeside's beautiful Orchestra Hall Theatre. Additional contributions are also accepted for the General Fund, Endowment Fund, and Building Fund. All active members receive the quarterly Lakeside Heritage Manifest publication by mail, containing Society news and a summary of some current historical research.
