Heritage Hall's welcome sign
Heritage Hall is the Lakeside Heritage Society's local history museum, dedicated to telling the fascinating story of Lakeside since its founding in 1873. The museum is located in the original Lakeside Methodist Church building at 238 Maple Avenue, and contains display cases with artifacts detailing Lakeside's physical and spiritual development, transportation on Lake Erie, and the development of the surrounding area.

Operating Hours: During the summer season (June, July and August), Heritage Hall is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon, and Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission is free, although donations are welcomed. Join us for an hour or two and escape to a rich and colorful bygone era.

Display cases tell the history of the Marblehead Peninsula. This one outlines the development of area schools. Heritage Hall's origin as the first permanent Methodist Church in Lakeside is evident in this interior view.
A wide selection of local history books, postcards, and souvenirs is available in the Museum Shop.
